Is this an example of the Butterfly Effect? This huge butterfly takes the form of the Russian invasion of Ukraine having multiple knock-on effects. Specifically in this case, it is increasing the cost of import of much needed fertilizer to Brazil, lowering soya production volumes, which in turn drives up soya prices for export with less soya available. The domino effect is China receiving much less soya to feed its population.
